Shuichi Shindou is a 19 year old singer from Bad Luck. He wants to be a rock star just like his idol Ryuichi Sakama, the lead singer from Nittle Gasper. His best friend is Hiro who's the guitarist of Bad Luck. He's very energetic and sometimes dumb. His life changes when he meets Eiri Yuki. He starts his romance with Yuki and that lead to a lot of ups and down for him and everyone around him.
Uesugi Eiri aka Eiri Yuki is a 22 year old Romance Novalist. His real name is Uesugi Eiri but changed it to Eiri Yuki. He took the name "Yuki" from his tutor Yuki Kitazawa in America. He has a sister named Mika, a brother named Tatsuha, and a finacee named Ayaka. He's sarcastic and cold-hearted to others. He cared a lot about his tutor but Yuki Kitazawa along with two other guys came and try to forced themselves on him and he ended up killing them. The only one that was there comforting him was his friend Tohma Seguchi.
Hiroshi Nakano is 19 year old guitarist of Bad Luck. He's best friends with Shuichi. He would do anything to see Shuichi happy and he makes sure that Yuki knows that. He really likes Yuki's finacee Ayaka.
Tohma Seguchi is a 32 year old president of N-G Records. He's also the keyboard player of Nittle Gasper. He is Yuki's long time friend and brother in law. He does things that make you wonder if he means well or not.
Suguru Fujisaki is a 16 year old who becomes Bad Luck's keyboard player. He's also Tohma's cousin. He is determin to prove his music talent and maybe one day serpass his cousin.
Ryuichi Sakuma is a 31 year old singer for Nittle Gasper. He's sweet and playful when he's not on stage. You always see him with his adorable little plushie "Kumagoro" (Mr. Bear). He becomes serious when he takes the mic and starts singing. He was in America touring for 3 years and when he comes back he along with the other members of Nittle Gasper come back to the stage.
Mika Seguchi is 29 years old. She is married to the keyboard player of Nittle Gasper, Tohma Seguchi. She is also Eiri Yuki's sister. She cares a lot about her brother and want him to come back home.
Sakano is 29 years old and his Tohmas right hand. He was Bad Luck's first manager until he got replaced by K. He does become the producer of Bad Luck. He's a man who's always having nervous breakdowns because of Shuichi and others, but mostly Shuichi.
Mr. K is 36 years old and is the new manager of Bad Luck. He used to be Ryuichi's manager but thought that he didn't need him anymore. He makes sure his clients suceed. Yet, he uses methods that are way too harsh. He carries weapons with him to motivate others.
Ayaka Usami is 17 years old and is also Yuki's finacee. She come looking for Yuki to be with him. She loves and cares about Yuki a lot. She gets mad when she finds out that Yuiki and Shuichi are in a relationship, but she is a very nice and proper lady. She knows that Hiro is in love with her and gives him a chance to take her out on a date if Bad Luck sales one million copies.
ASK consist of 3 members. Taki whos 22 years old, Maa who is 23 years old, and Ken who is 23 years old. They are the rivals of Bad Luck. Taki who is the lead singer finds Shuichi as a treat to him and will do anything to take him out of the way. He beats yo Shuichi and blackmails him about telling everyone about his relationship with Yuki if he doesn't quit Bad Luck. The other two are his friends that never leave his side no matter what.
Noriko Ukai is 28 years old and the second keyboard player of Nittle Gasper. She is always with Ryuichi taking care of him.
Tatsuha Uesugi is 16 years old and is Yukis youngest brother. He has good relationship with his family unlike Yuki. He's also a womanizing monk. He looks like his brother except for his black hair. He's also a big fan of Nittle Gasper just like Shuichi. It's why they get along well.
Maiko Shindou is Shuichi little sister. She doesn't come out in the anime but she does in the OAV and manga. She cares about her brother a lot.
